Al-Qatrani invites Turkey’s ambassador to Libya to visit eastern region

First Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Al-Qatrani sent an official invitation to the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, to visit the eastern region; to start joint political action and contribute to the reconstruction.

This came within the framework of developing relations between Libya and Turkey, especially after the recent rapprochement that took place before the elections, according to the government statement.

Al-Qatrani discussed with Yilmaz, during a meeting in Tripoli; ways to reactivate the Turkish diplomatic and consular representation in Benghazi.

The Turkish ambassador stressed the organization of a close official visit to the embassy, ​​and the necessary arrangements for it, in addition to the return of commercial traffic between the ports and airports of the east and Turkey.

Yilmaz expressed his country’s keenness to support the efforts of the political track by listening to all points of view from all political parties.

During this meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries at all levels, in the interest of the Libyan and Turkish peoples.
