Libya named 2nd deputy of the presidency office of African Union

Libya was elected to the position of the second deputy of the office of the presidency of the African Union during the 35th session of the Assembly of the African Union, which starts Saturday and continues until Sunday.

During the opening of the 35th session of the African Union Summit, at the Union headquarters in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, the formation of the Bureau of the Presidency of the Union headed by Senegal for the West region and the first representative for the East region was announced, while Libya was chosen for the position of the second representative for the North region, and the Democratic Republic of Congo was elected for the Central region.

It is worth noting that the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, is representing Libya in the work of this session, which focuses on regional security issues and ending armed conflicts in different regions of the African continent.
