Spanish police dismantles network that is funding terrorism in Libya

The Spanish National Police announced the placement of three suspects arrested on charges of financing terrorism in Libya at the disposal of the President of the Central Instructions Court of the National Court.

According to a report by the “Euro Weekly News” newspaper, the National Police arrested three individuals last Tuesday for their participation in financing terrorism in Libya, one in Valencia, and two others in Barcelona and Girona, without disclosing their nationalities.

The three suspects were arrested after officers from the Regional Information Brigades in San Sebastian, Bilbao and Valencia cooperated at the national level with Europol forces at the European level.

According to the report, the investigation revealed a complex business network at an international level, working to transfer and provide funds to terrorist militias in Libya linked to ISIS.
