Bashagha holds Dabaiba responsible for inciting violence

Libyan Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha blamed the unity government, headed by Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, for the escalation and incitement to violence, reiterating his firm approach not to use force.

Bashagha condemned “wasting public money and the wealth of the Libyan state in favor of an outlaw government, which seeks to sow discord and spread chaos to continue in power,” as he described it, stressing his determination to confront this violation of legitimacy firmly and seriously through political means.

Bashagha met earlier with a number of military figures in Tunisia, as part of efforts to enter the capital, Tripoli, amid a mobilization of armed formations supporting the Prime Minister of the Unity Government, which adheres to the refusal to hand over power.
