Presidential Council prohibits military movement outside barracks without prior permission

The Presidential Council issued a decision ordering all military units, regardless of their affiliation and the nature of the tasks assigned to them; not to move their military vehicles outside their military barracks and positions.

An order signed by the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army under the title “Very Urgent” and addressed to all units confirmed prohibition of military movement except with the prior permission of the Commander in Chief, noting that in case of necessity; the movement can only take place in accordance with the applicable context and with the approval of the Commander in Chief of the Libyan Army.

The order, issued on Thursday, urged the commanders of all military units to adhere to instructions, while directing the Military Intelligence Department, the Police Department, and Military Prisons to follow up on its implementation and report any violation of its provisions.
