Libya won first place in the trucks category and second in the cars category in the fourth edition of the Sahari Rally of Algeria that started from El-Menia and ended in Ghardaia.
Racer Shoukry Akouf accompanied by Abdullah Al-Qamoudi riding Nissan achieved the second place in the cars category, overcoming 60 cars from 10 countries. Al-Kamaz crew won the gold medal in the trucks race driven by Abdul Salam Akra, Kamal Al-Jedaie, and Ashraf Dardera.
The rally brought together 52 Algerian competitors along with 34 others of different nationalities, including Britain, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Italy, France, Belgium and Libya.
