Tobruk port closes due to lack of security

Tobruk port has been closed on Monday, December 17, per manager Omar Jilghaf directions due to lack of security inside the port.

According to source, refused to mention his name , the port has been witnessing several  looting and theft acts lately, which made it difficult for the port to continue working under the current circumstances.

Jilghaf demanded the Libyan authorities to control over the port and stop the chaos; however, nothing happened according to the source

In October 2017, Tobruk port closed upon the Libyan National Army (LNA) orders, however, it was reopened several weeks later as a result of the residents insistence.
