LNA announces controlling Ghadduwah

 

Libya’s National Army (LNA) announced controlling Ghadduwah town, south of Sabha, on Thursday, as part of its operations to liberate Libya’s south

According to 218TV correspondent, LNA forces began to spread effectively in Ghadduwah to secure the full area. The military also announced that the forces controlled this area and preparing to move to the nest location of the south.

On a statement post on Facebook by LNA, it was stated that this step is to secure the people of those areas and provide all services to them, in addition to the defeat of criminal gangs who threat the security of Libya and its citizens.

Month ago, LNA announced a full-scale military operation to liberate southern Libya from terrorist groups.

LNA Spokesperson Ahmed Al-Mismari said in a press conference the operation aims to maintain the country’s unity, secure its resources such as oil and fuel, protect Libya’s north-eastern oil crescent from terrorists attacks, deliver humanitarian aid to southern citizens and prevent crimes in the south as well as the illegal immigration.

He called on southern citizens to stay away from terrorist hotbeds in Sabha and the surrounding region to avoid any harm.

The LNA spokesperson assured the public that the armed forces will not harm their possessions while carrying out the operation.
