Notable improvements in Libya’s aviation sector

Libya’s aviation sector has been witnessing major developments during the past period, as the Libyan authorities were trying to make continues talks and communications with foreign airlines to convince them to resume working and cooperating with Tripoli.

Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority has played a vital role during the past period resulted in cooperating with several international airlines, and announcing the resumption of the flights between Tripoli and other cities and capitals.

In a report published by Independent Malta newspaper on Sunday, it was stated that the resumption of Malta -Tripoli flights is expected soon.

According to the newspaper report, there are several on-going discussions between the two countries regarding the resumption of Malta -Tripoli flights.

It was stated that, last month, Air Malta CCO Paul Sies confirmed that talks were underway on the possibility of Air Malta resuming flights between Malta and Libya. Currently, only Medavia is operating flights between Malta and Tripoli, using a turbo-prop aircraft.
