Ministry of Education in the interim government launched on Wednesday a maintenance campaign of schools in the Gulf of Sidra in the northern part of Libya.
The school maintenance will be conducted under the supervision of the Ajdabiya projects department affiliated to the ministry of education.
The campaign will include a total of 10 schools; of which four schools in Bin Gawad, two in each of Ras Lanuf and Nufaliya, and one in each of Wadi-al-Ahmar and the central area, said the Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs in Sidra Education Office, Hassan Al Shahoubi.
Since 2011, the lack of security, the sporadic eruption of violence, and political feuding have brought havoc to every aspect of life in Libya, but the education system is the main victim with far-reaching consequences for the overwhelming majority of the population.
