Turkish cargo aircraft lands at Misurata Airport

A Turkish cargo aircraft, C130, landed Wednesday night at Misurata Airport, carrying a team of Turkish experts, the Karama Operations Room said Thursday.

On May 18, 40 Turkish armored vehicles and other arms were sent to Tripoli allegedly to support the Government of National Accord (GNA).

Further, Karama Operation Room said drones on a Ukrainian plane coming from Ankara were tested Wednesday night in the suburbs of Misurata, Zliten and the Sahel.

Karama warned that the drones will be used in the coming hours against the LNA amid the war in the suburbs of Tripoli.

Previously, several shipments of weapons and ammunition arrived from Turkey, violating the U.N. resolution banning the sale and transfer of arms to Libya. The LNA and the Interim Government in eastern Libya strongly condemned the shipments every time, but the GNA’s reaction has been silent or lenient.
