LNA launches airstrikes on Chadian opposition in Marzuk

The Libyan National Army (LNA) launched two airstrikes on the armed groups of Chadian opposition elements in Marzuk town, southern Libya, al-Ain news said Wednesday.

The strikes targeted Chadian gunmen on the road to western Marzuk, about two days after the area’s residents clashed with the Chadian opposition mercenaries.

Previously, the LNA carried out several airstrikes against Chadian fighters in southern Libya during its military operations in the southern region, which was launched in January to eliminate terrorist groups.

The LNA said in a statement on February 8 that it had hit “three groups of Chadians and their allies.”

The “powerful and painful” strikes targeted groups near Marzuk area in southern Libya, the LNA added.
