Turkey’s attempts to badly impact the current crisis in Libya have not ceases as it continues to bolster the armed groups that are opposed to the building of a state and national army in Libya by sending them weapons and providing them with logistical support. A support that has become public since the start of the advance of the Libyan National Army (LNA) toward Tripoli.
Recent Turkish backup was on Monday, when military sources revealed that Turkish armored vehicles had arrived in Libya to strengthen the side of Government of National Accord’s armed groups as part of Turkey’s conflict with the LNA.
Meanwhile, observers said the future of the armed groups in Libya relies heavily on the Turkish stance and support as all their movements are greenlighted by Turkey, which is fueling the conflict in Libya instead of pushing for stability and peace.
They also indicated that Turkish intervention in Libya is the first chapter of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s dream of spreading his influence in North Africa via supporting anti-stability armed groups.
