The French Defense Minister, Florence Parly, has discussed on the phone with her Russian counterpart, Sergey Shoygu, cooperation in different intricate issues, especially monitoring arms ban implementation in Libya.
The French Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the discussion focused on arming and conflicts in crisis countries such ad Ukraine, the Middle East, the Gulf countries and Central African Republic.
The statement added that the two ministers reviewed cooperation methods that could be pursued in a visit by the Defense Minister herself and the French Foreign Minister to Moscow next Monday.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow meeting will be discussing the situations in Syria, Iran, Ukraine, Venezuela and Libya.
