LNA carries out numerous airstrikes on GNA’s arms and ammo depots

The armed groups of the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli and Misrata had rough time on Tuesday as the Air Force of the Libyan National Army carried out over 20 airstrikes on their positions leaving a number of deaths and injuries.

Since the early hours of Tuesday, LNA warplanes targeted camps and military positions where GNA armed groups stocked arms and ammunition, including April 7 Camp and Salah Al-Deen.

The Libyan Air Force also targeted at night the Misrata Air College with over five airstrikes, destroying the targets planned ahead by the LNA, according to a statement by the commander of fighting operations at the Al-Karama Operations Room, General Ahemd Salim.

The LNA has started to change strategies for the battle in southern Tripoli, beginning with heavy airstrikes on a daily basis targeting fighters, ammunition and arms depots as well as military vehicles for the GNA armed groups.

Such new tactics could change the weights of the battle and destroy the GNA defenses, while the LNA forces await orders to advance on Tripoli and retake it from the grip of corruption that has been thriving for years.
