218News has learned that the airstrike – four ones – of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) on locations in Murzuq has totally killed 10 people – two of whom are prominent figures.
A reliable source told 218News that the airstrikes hit as well a group of Chadian fighters in southwest Murzuq after long surveillance missions, adding that the group is also called South Protection Force.
According to AFRICOM’s statement, US warplanes targeted ISIS locations and the targeted positions are ones used by the terrorist elements for their operations, adding that the militants did not enter Murzuq alone but accompanied by foreign elements who forcefully displaced locals.
