The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo started his Italy visit Tuesday by meeting with the Italian President and then another meeting with the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
Agi Politica said the discussions focused on issues of mutual interest including Libya, which they said can have no military solution to it’s current conflict. They also concentrated on the need to reach joint policies in the upcoming NATO summit in London on December 03-04.
The Italian news agency said that the Italian message conveyed to Pompeo was the need for a bigger US support to European, Italian, French and German efforts aimed at holding the international conference on Libya in Berlin.
