US deplores airstrike on Equestrian Club in Libya

The US embassy in Libya has deplored the airstrike on Sunday against Janzour Equestrian Club that was attributed to Libyan National Army by the UNSMIL.

The US embassy said the attack was a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, saying it will remain committed to work with all Libyan parties to provide a chance to all Libyans to regain their normal living conditions.

An airstrike on Janzour Equestrian Club on Sunday injured five children and one old man who were inside the club at the time and then one of them was taken to hospital by the field medical center’ ambulance.

The spokesman for LNA, Ahmed Al-Mismari, has denied that the Air Force carried any airstrikes near Oya Touristic Village in Janzour, saying the armed groups of GNA carried out the attack to blame it on the LNA.

Al-Mismari said the LNA warplanes depict their targets very precisely upon surveillance and accurate ground intelligence.
