UNICEF says lack of funding affects its response works in Libya

UNICEF in Libya said it needed about 15 million dollars to be able to operate as required until the end of 2019.

In a statement, UNICEF said it was undergoing financial struggles in its lifesaving programs in health, nutrition, water, sewage management, child protection and education.

The statement said that about 5000 Libyan students have been affected by the Tripoli fighting in July and August 2019, adding that 128.000 displaced people are in need for health care.
