Hannibal Gaddafi’s case in Switzerland has resurfaced

Hannibal Gaddafi’s case along with his wife, who were accused of mistreating their maid, returned to the scene.

The case caused the arrest of Max Goldi and Rachid Hamdani in July 2008. The former decided to return to Switzerland for the first time since he was released to tell the truth by his diaries that have been turned by him into a book in French; to retaliate against Gaddafi.

Gaddafi and his wife were arrested by Geneva police in July 2008 for their mistreatment of the maid. The case stirred diplomatic rifts that ended up with Swiss ambassador visiting Libya and extending a formal apology on August 20 2009.

Max was released on June 14 2010 and Hannibal Gaddafi was compensated with about 1.5 million euros.

After 10 years of his release, Max wants to publish his diaries which he smuggled out of Libya inside a secret pocket knitted in the baseball cap he was wearing.
