The Head of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al-Sarraj said the solution of the crisis is holding transparent and free elections not splitting power among certain parties, adding that there must be a solid constitutional basis for elections so their results can be accepted by all.
Al-Sarraj added to Sputnik that all parties in Libya are now aware that the military solution isn’t possible in the country.
Al-Sarraj also talked about international efforts that aim to find a political solution to the conflict and to limit external interventions in Libya.
He also said that all parties, which refuse elections, are cracking down on the will of the people in order to seize power.
