Russia, Turkey agree to cooperate in finding solutions to Libya’s conflict

The Russina Foreign Ministry has revealed that an agreement was reached with Turkey to keep close talks and cooperation regarding Libya.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that a delegation from Russia and another from Turkey met Monday and agreed, after extended negotiations, to help resolve the conflict in Libya as soon as possible.

The Russian deputy foreign minister and his Turkish counterpart chaired the meeting.

Meanwhile, a Turkish delegation arrived in Moscow on a formal visit to discuss regional issues, including Libya’s crisis.

The visit came shortly after Turkish and Russian Presidents talked on the phone about the status quo in Libya as the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the developments in Libya necessitated additional talks between Moscow and Ankara.
