Reports say 300 Syrian fighters have arrived in Tripoli

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said 300 pro-Turkey fighters arrived from Syria in Tripoli, in addition to other recruits (900 to 1000) with salaries of 2000 to 2500 dollars a month on contracts of 3 or 6 months. They would receive more if they stayed longer in Libya, the SOHR added.

The SOHR said most of the fighters in Libya now are from Hazim Movement that was dissolved years ago in Syria, posting audios for a fighter calling on his fellow fighters to be prepared to travel to Tripoli from Afrin, Syria.

The SOHR reported Libyan sources as saying that the Syrian fighters gather in Salah Al-Deen in Tripoli and posted a video showing some of the fighters in Al-Tikbali Camp.

Via Google Earth, it turned out that there had been preparations for over a month, since Turkey received the green light from the GNA for military support, to receive Syrian fighters to fight against the LNA.

This information was backed by social media activists who posted videos showing Syrian fighters in Tripoli, which was denied by the GNA in what shows how fragile it has become and how Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now in control of the battle.
