The Prime Minister of Turkish Northern Cyprus denounced Sunday the cooperation between Greek Cyprus and the commander of the Libyan National Army Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar
The Prime Minister said the involvement of Greek Cyprus in cooperation with Haftar – whom he described as leading a coup against internationally recognized legitimacy – is unacceptable.
He added that Turkish Cyprus is following closely the developments in the eastern Mediterranean region and is committed to protecting its national and strategic interests in cooperation with Turkey.
The President of Greek Cyprus said in a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aquila Saleh on Saturday that his government withdrew recognition from the Government of National Accord.
