The French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian has accused Turkey of violating UN arms embargo in Libya by its agreement with the Government of National Accord.
Le Drian said at the French Parliament on Wednesday that Turkey is to blame for the agreement and the escalation of military operations, adding that Russia’s latest efforts for ceasefire weren’t conclusive and failed to urge all parties to commit to them before Berlin conference on next Sunday.
Le Drian added that the political process is the only way out of “the entanglement in Libya” as there is no military solution in Libya, asking all parties to respect the ceasefire before the Berlin conference.
