LNA spokesman reveals numbers and nationalities of mercenaries in Tripoli

The Spokesman for the Libyan National Army Ahmed Al-Mismari said the commitment to the ceasefire by the LNA revealed to the international community the support of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to terrorism.

Al-Mismari said in a press conference on Monday that Erdogan sent between 1500 to 2000 Jabhat Al-Nusra fighters to Tripoli, adding that the number of mercenaries reached 6000 in the capital out of a targeted total of 18000 mercenary fighters and that there are now 10 Syrian factions fighting in Tripoli against the LNA.

He also said that a commander of a mercenary faction in Tripoli had been given one million dollars as his mercenaries will get 2000 dollars each every month, adding that they are from Libya, Syria, Iraq, African countries, foreign countries and intelligence officers from Turkey. He also said Erdogan aims to smuggle terrorists to Europe.

Al-Mismari said Erdogan sent 1500 ISIS militants to an area near Tunisian borders and that some of them were seen in Libyan areas like Murzuq, Ghadwa, Sabha and Um Al-Aranib.
