Libyan National Army destroys operations room in Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport

The Military Information and Media Office of the General Command of the Libyan National Army announced on Saturday evening the destruction of one of the operations’ rooms of Turkish drones, operated by Turkish officers, at the Mitiga Air Force Base in Tripoli.

The announcement came after several pages on social media circulated news about targeting Mitiga airport with several shells, and published pictures showing fire coming out from some locations inside the airport.

On its Facebook page, the office said that the Libyan National Army’s artillery targeted the sites of armed groups affiliated with the Government of National Accord in Al-Aziziya and Al-Heera.

This came after it announced that GNA armed groups had renewed their violation of the truce and had targeted, with indiscriminate shells, residential areas and neighborhoods in Qasr Bin Ghashir area, southern Tripoli.
