Turkey uses force against immigrants returning from Greek borders

In a new escalation between Turkey and Greece, the Turkish navy intercepted a boat that followed the Greek coast guard, crossing the Turkish territorial waters, trying to return a migrant boat to the Turkish side.

Videos showed the moment the Turkish navy intercepted the Greek boat and forcibly pushed it in the opposite direction.

Thousands of migrants and refugees are trying to cross from Turkey to Greece after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had opened the borders for them to go to Europe after heavy losses in the Syrian city of Idlib and the killing of Turkish soldiers.

The Turkish President has repeatedly threatened to use the immigrants’ card to put pressure on Europe, and he did not hesitate to turn it into a reality once his forces in Syria suffered massive losses.

Meanwhile, Turkish authorities provided free transportation to deliver migrants and refugees to areas near the Greek border to facilitate their crossing into Europe.

Land and sea borders between Turkey and Greece have witnessed great tensions since the start of the flow of thousands of immigrants and refugees towards Greece.
