156 of “Erdogan’s mercenary fighters” have been killed in Libya

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said Monday that 156 Syrian mercenaries have been killed in Libya in the past two months while they were fighting for armed groups of the Government of National Accord (GNA).

The Italian News Agency (ANSA) cited the Syrian Observatory as saying that the bodies of 5 Syrian fighters who died in clashes in Tripoli were transferred over the past 24 hours to Syria.

The Syrian Observatory confirmed that in recent weeks, Turkey sent 4,750 Syrian mercenaries to the battle fronts in Libya, while 1900 others were transferred to training camps in Turkey before they get sent to Libya.

SOHR reported Sunday that there was a state of great dissatisfaction among the Syrian fighters in Libya because of Turkey’s failure to fulfill its promises amid a miserable situation experienced by “mercenaries” in Tripoli.

According to the SOHR, one of the mercenaries spoke in an audio recording, saying he was regretting coming to Libya, calling on those wishing to go to Libya to change their decision because the conditions are not good at all.
