Libya records 6 new Coronavirus cases, bringing total to 17

The Libyan National Center for Disease Control announced registering 6 new Coronavirus cases in Libya on Friday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients to 17, including one death.

The statement said that the reference laboratory for community health at the National Center had received 20 samples, the results of which were 14 negative samples and 6 positive ones, hence bringing the total number of cases in Libya to 17.

The Libyan National Center for Disease Control has faced widespread criticism from health experts and citizens alike about its recent confidentiality of information and abstaining from naming the cities and regions where new Coronavirus cases are recorded so that people can take precautions and necessary measures, including quarantine hotspots for neighborhoods or control over movement between cities.
