Crown Prince Mohammed Al-Senussi urges UN for more coordination to end Libya’s conflict

Crown Prince of Libyan Monarchy, Mohammad Al-Hassan Al-Ridha Al-Mahdi Al-Senussi, has called on the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, for coordination with relevant international organizations and bodies to stop the fighting in Libya and to provide the necessary support to Libyan health institutions to overcome the impact of the global pandemic of the Coronavirus.

Al-Senussi called, in an open letter addressed to the Secretary General of the United Nations, for exerting pressure on the parties in Libya to end the conflict, stressing that it’s important that the international community takes its responsibilities in preserving the assets of the Libyan Investment Authority and other resources for the Libyan people. He also said for placing the assets under international control so that they could be used in building and developing the state of Libya.

Crown Prince Mohammad Al-Senussi pointed to the blockade of oil production, which is the main source of revenue in Libya, explaining its negative impact on the global crisis of Coronavirus outbreak in Libya, which needs to intensify efforts to combat this pandemic.
