10 Syrian mercenaries captured by LNA, says Al-Mahjoub

The Head of Moral Motivation Department at the Libyan National Army (LNA), Khalid Al-Mahjoub, told 218News Tuesday that LNA forces managed in the past hours to arrest 10 mercenaries fighting within the forces of the Government of National Accord, addinf that most of the captured mercenaries were Syrian nationals.

Al-Mahjoub stated that four of the mercenaries were arrested on the frontline of Abu Grein near Sirte, indicating that six others were arrested in different axes in Tripoli.

He also stressed that the Government of National Accord’s forces left, after retreating on the battle fronts, a number of the bodies of dead fighters on the frontlines that they lost Monday.

Meanwhile, activists posted on social media videos showing the arrest of some Syrian mercenaries who said that they arrived via Turkey from different Syrian cities, including Deir Al-Zour and Aleppo.

The Syrian mercenaries also said they had flown from Istanbul to the airports of Mitiga and Misrata, as a video showed a confession of one of the mercenaries who presented himself as commander of the Sultan Brigade.
