Heavy clashes in Tripoli as GNA forces open fire on three frontlines

Violent clashes broke out Saturday morning in Libya between Libyan National Army and backup forces and the forces of the Government of National Accord east of the capital, Tripoli, specifically on Al-Mashroa – Al-Qassi frontline.

A reliable source told 218News that GNA forces opened fire on three frontlines: Al-Zatarna, Al-Sheridat and Garabulli, in an attempt to advance militarily towards the city of Tarhuna, which has been their main target for a while, especially after taking control over the cities of Sorman and Sabratha under Turkish air cover and the Syrian mercenaries whom the Turkish regime brought to support the GNA forces.

The source added that the LNA military units are dealing with the attack up to this point without any progress or advances on the side of the GNA forces.
