Turkey to send “parts of drones” to Libya

An exclusive source told 218News TV Channel, that a plane coming from Turkey will arrive at Mitiga Airport in Tripoli within the next two days, bringing aboard dismantled parts of Turkish drones.

The source said that the parts of the drones are placed in wooden boxes, about two meters long and one and a half meters wide, adding that the shipment includes other boxes of multiple sizes.

The source pointed out that a civilian plane, expected to be Libyan, not Turkish, will work to transport these boxes from Turkey to Tripoli, stressing that the parts of the drones will be installed later in Libya.

The source pointed out that these parts are usually received by a group of Turkish officers and members of the Special Deterrence Force, which will then take the parts to its headquarters.

It is noteworthy that the forces of the Government of National Accord have become dependent on the Turkish drones in their military operations against the Libyan National Army.

Since the start of its military operations in Tripoli more than a year ago, the Libyan National Army announced shooting down of dozens of Turkish drones, the last of which was the shooting down of two drones on last Friday: one in Wadi Dinar and the other between the Tenenay region and Nesma twon.
