France says Libya’s crisis won’t be resolved by “unilateral decisions”

France said on Tuesday that the conflict in Libya cannot be resolved through unilateral decisions, but only in light of the Un-backed dialogue.

“The solution to the Libyan conflict can only pass through dialogue between the parties under the auspices of the United Nations and not through unilateral decisions,” Deputy Foreign Ministry spokesman Olivier Gauvin said in a statement.

Olivier Gauvin stressed that there is no alternative to a comprehensive political solution as part of the conclusions of the Berlin Conference, stressing that France is committed to the unity and stability of Libya.

The General Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar announced on Monday that he had accepted Libyans’ will to authorize the General Command to remove the Libyan political agreement and govern the country.
