Erdogan personally follows up Libya’s military developments

Turkish Justice and Development Party spokesman Omer Celik said on Tuesday that President Recep Erdogan is personally following the military developments in Libya.

Celik said in a press conference that there is a great progress that is being achieved in developments in Libya in line with the Turkish national security, pointing out that President Erdogan stressed strong Turkish support for developments in Libya to serve the national interests and that the Turkish armed forces continue their firm position in order to protect Turkey’s national interests.

Erdogan said, on Monday, that he is determined to “turn Libya into an oasis of peace”, by continuing his support for the Government of National Accord, which he described as “legitimate”, stressing that Ankara will continue to provide support to the GNA in Tripoli.

Erdogan added, in statements after a cabinet meeting, that “in the coming days, there will be good news coming from Libya.”
