Libya is on the Security Council table once again

The Security Council has held a special hearing on Libya to discuss the developments of the military conflict in Tripoli in which the Libyan National Army is fighting the forces of the Government of National Accord, whose Turkish ally is interfering more brutally and clearly in the battle against all norms and laws.

The session saw a briefing by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda, who is a legal person, and from here we can guess and conclude that the speech will deal with aspects of international laws that are being breached in Libya in a blatant manner.

The Acting Head of the UN Mission to Libya, Stephanie Williams, will participate in the session, after calling for a humanitarian truce and for the resumption of the Joint Commission 5+5 negotiations, and she knows very well that a heavy burden has taken Salama off this job and now it lies upon her.

According to observers, the session and briefings will not go out of the ordinary and normal circle, whereby the attendees will discuss the field operations and their humanitarian implications, and call for an end to the fighting and activation of political tracks unless the opposite happens, if it does, it will be something beyond what is expected in sessions of this type.
