The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that LNA units killed and captured dozens of GNA forces near the Al-Watiya airbase.
Major General Al-Mismari added, in a press conference held in Benghazi on Wednesday evening, that “what we have done today is good news for Erdogan and his parents and they have to wait for more.”
He continued: “We promise you with surprises and that the project of Libya’s partition will fail.”
Al-Mismari indicated that the LNA forces fought a “historic battle” at the Uqba bin Nafi airbase, during which they killed dozens of mercenaries who were sent by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Libya.
Al-Mismari stated: “Tripoli will soon return to be part of the homeland, thanks to its patriotic sons, and the people must prepare for joy and surprises.”
