Ghannouchi to br probed for his dubious movements in Libya

Because of his ties and external links, in particular in Libya, Speaker of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People, Rached Ghannouchi, will be probed by the Tunisian Parliament.

The Tunisian parliament decided that Ghannouchi will be interviewed on next June 3, after a list submitted by the Constitutional Party bloc rejecting any form of external interference, specifically in the Libyan issue, and its opposition to converting Tunisian lands to bases meant to be used to target Libya or facilitate military interventions in Libya, which is a reference to the role played by Turkey and its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood and Ghannouchi.

Tunisian parties, activists, and human rights activists have accused Ghannouchi, leader of the Ennahda Movement, of supporting Turkish military action in Libya against the Libyan national army.

The Presidential Council media also reported that Ghannouchi congratulated the Head of the council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, on the militants entering Al-Watiya airbase after the LNA units withdrew from it.
