A high-level Libyan delegation informed the commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter, of the results of their recent visit to Russia.
This came during Field Marshal Haftar’s reception of the delegation, which includes Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ahmid Houma, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan government, and a delegate of the General Command.
The Military Information Division of the General Command said that the delegation “valued during its visit the position of the General Command and the House of Representatives towards the Cairo Declaration, especially the ceasefire, and the return to the political process in accordance with the principles of the Libyan people, which are based on the departure of foreign mercenaries, the rejection of foreign aggression and the dismantling of militias, and the establishment of a state of law and institutions the end of terrorism, and ensuring a fair distribution of wealth.
Houma said in a statement Wednesday, that Russia confirmed its support for the “Cairo Declaration” to solve the Libyan crisis, according to the conclusions of the Berlin Conference.
Homa, who arrived Monday in Moscow at the head of the Libyan delegation, pointed out that they met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, in the presence of the Russian Ambassador to Libya Ivan Molotkov.
