US ambassador discusses in Ankara demilitarized solution for Libya

The US Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland discussed, in Ankara, with senior Turkish officials the steps necessary to achieve a demilitarized solution in Libya, and a complete and mutual withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries.

The embassy said on its Twitter account that Norland and Turkish officials discussed how to “enable the National Oil Corporation to resume its vital work, and to enhance transparency and economic reforms.”

The talks included “the urgent need to support the Libyan voices who sincerely seek to end the conflict and return to the political dialogue facilitated by the United Nations, with full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya.”
