Turkey reveals its military project to be implemented in Libya as per agreement with GNA

The Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has confirmed that Turkey shares its military resources with the Government of National Accord (GNA) and provides military training for its forces in implementation of the agreement signed between the two parties in November last year.

Commenting on the objectives of his recent visit to Tripoli, Akar indicated that Turkey, on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will continue to stand with the Libyan people with whom it shares a 500-year history, as he described it.

On the recent Turkish activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish Defense Minister said that they would continue to implement their exploration activities in the region and that they were taking an open, transparent approach that respected the rights of neighbors. He called on all parties concerned with the Mediterranean crisis to move away from the policy of imposing a fait accompli.

Hulusi Akar indicated that the recent agreement signed between Greece and Egypt contradicts the interests of the peoples of the two countries, expressing his hope that everyone will use common sense.
