Al-Mishri, Spanish Foreign Minister discuss repercussions of “Tripoli war”

The Head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, received on Monday Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya, at the Council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed developments in the political and military situation in the country and the repercussions and effects of the military operations in Tripoli since April 09, 2019.

The meeting was attended by the first deputy of the High Council of State, Muhammad Baqi, the second deputy, Safwan al-Masuri, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord, Muhammad al-Taher Sayala.

The meeting also dealt with the proposed ceasefire initiatives, opportunities for resuming political dialogue, how to create a suitable environment for its success, and Spain’s role in pushing the political process forward.
