218News reveals differences between Libyan negotiating parties in Morocco

An informed source revealed to 218News details of behind the scenes of the negotiations of the Parliament and the High Council of State in the Moroccan city of Bouznika, starting with the refusal of the members of the High Council of State to move the headquarters of the Central Bank outside Tripoli, which threatens the collapse of the negotiations between the two committees.

The source confirmed that the members of the High Council of the State clung to the name of the person who will be the governor of the Central Bank, hours after the bank’s governor in Tripoli Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir visited Turkey.

On the other hand, members of Parliament demanded that the central bank be based in Benghazi, in exchange for the National Oil Corporation remaining in Tripoli.

Regarding the outcomes of the negotiations on Monday, the source revealed that they ended with the selection of Tripoli as the headquarters for the Audit Bureau, Benghazi as the seat of the Administrative Control Authority, and for the Anti-Corruption Commission to be in Sabha.

According to information obtained by 218News, the Moroccan authorities sponsoring these negotiations are trying to bridge the gap between the two parties’ views and to avoid the collapse of the negotiations as much as possible.
