After Erdogan’s skepticism, violation of Libyan ceasefire take place

The Turkish Ministry of Defense published Saturday photos of Libyan military forces’ training in a first precedent for violating the ceasefire agreement signed Friday in Geneva.

The permanent ceasefire agreement was met with Arab, regional, international and international welcome, with the exception of a resentful comment made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who questioned its credibility and the extent of the signatories’ commitment to what was stated in the agreement.

Turkish skepticism and discontent with the agreement were quickly translated into pictures published by the Turkish Ministry of Defense of Libyan military training, and said that it is within the scope of the training, cooperation and military consultations agreement, in clear violation of the agreement signed by the parties.

The second point of the terms of the agreement stipulated the freezing of military agreements for training inside Libya and the exit of training crews until the new unified government takes over, provided that the security room formed under this agreement is to be charged with proposing and implementing special security arrangements that ensure the security of the evacuated areas of military units and formations.
