Press sources confirmed that the Accord Government agreed to release “Russian political activists” who were imprisoned for more than a year, and the Public Prosecutor did not issue any explanation about the government’s approval.

According to “Bloomberg”, the release process reflects a breakthrough between the reconciliation government and Moscow, after a period of Russian demands for the release of its citizens in Libya.

Four officials explained to the agency, who were aware of the negotiations that took place between GNA and Moscow, announced the negotiations, which ended with an agreement to release the Russians in Libya.

The officials, who declined to reveal their identities, because the agreement has not yet been announced, indicated that the prisoners will be sent to Moscow within days, according to what was reported by the American Al-Hurra website.
