Terrorism in Libya is very concerning, needs setting differences aside to be resolved

The roots of terrorism are still deeply planted in Libya, as it seems that the members of the extremist groups have not been removed after the operations of “Al-Karamah and Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous”, which were directed towards the takfiri groups and those who support them, choosing completely willingly to help them have a foothold in Libya.

Today; It appears that terrorism has a disturbing presence and drives fear. Those who espouse abnormal ideas in a society troubled by wars are promoting the caliphate state that does not exist except in their imaginations, in which there are also ideas that expel people from forgiveness, and treat them as delusions and immorality.

This extremist ideology had not been extinguished in Libya yet, and this was evidenced by a military operation carried out by the Libyan National Army Saturday, specifically from the Special Operations Brigades of Major General Tariq bin Ziyad and the 116th Infantry Brigade in Ubari, in the heart of the “Tarracan and Sharb neighborhoods” in the southwest, where one of the hideouts of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, which resulted in the arrest of seven terrorists of different nationalities; among them is Hassan al-Washi, who returned from Mali last week, after transporting weapons, ammunition and money to the organization’s wing there, as well as the arrest of terrorist Omar Washi.

This operation, which was carried out by the army, opened the door to many fears regarding the growth of takfiri groups, after their flame faded, especially in the coastal cities from Derna to Benghazi to Ajdabiya to Sirte and Sabratha, and very little in Tripoli.

The existence of terrorism in Libya is an unavoidable fact of recognition and dealing with the situation on its basis, which requires concerted efforts to remedy the matter quickly; Because the preoccupation with the disputes taking place today would provide an ideal environment for the takfiris; Through it, they spread their ideas and control large areas in it, so the process of displacing them and expelling them from Libya would be costly in terms of blood and money.
