“Erdogan’s Drones” blocked Russian ambitions in Libya

At a time when the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is waging an expanded military campaign for influence from North Africa to the Caucasus; his forces relied on powerful weaponry to gain an advantage on the battlefield while mobilizing domestic support for foreign interventions; using armed drones, made in Turkey.

According to the Washington Post, “drones have played a central role in recent months in transforming the conflict in Libya in favor of the Government of National Accord, and inside Turkey, drones have become a symbol of Turkish technological innovation and self-sufficiency. This boosted national confidence amid the severe economic downturn and friction with some other “NATO” countries.

Former US ambassador to Turkey, James Jeffrey, who until recently served as a special representative of the Donald Trump administration for Syria, said: Turkey’s foreign invasions “thwarted” Russian military ambitions in places like Syria and Libya, and at the same time, “Erdogan” and through his domestic aircraft is broadcasting panic among most opponents in the Middle East.
