Libya prepares to receive 2.7 Covid-19 vaccine doses

The Supreme Advisory Committee on Vaccinations, headed by Dr. Suleiman Abu Sriwil, discussed the reception, storage and distribution of the Coronavirus vaccine with UNICEF, as a measure in the framework of preparing to receive the Coronavirus vaccine early next year.

This came during an expanded meeting held Sunday in the presence of members of the Scientific Advisory Committee to combat Coronavirus pandemic, and experts from UNICEF.

It is noteworthy that Libya has reserved 2,724,200 doses for the benefit of the most vulnerable groups, at a rate of two doses per person.

In the discussions, the meeting touched on the mechanisms of receiving, storing and distributing the Coronavirus vaccine, in addition to the formation of training committees, safety and follow-up commissions.
