The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan Parliament, Yusef Al-Aqouri, discussed in a phone call with the US Deputy Ambassador to Libya, Joshua Harris, the latest political developments and ways to support stability in Libya.
During his call, Harris stressed the depth of US-Libyan relations and the US’s keenness to strengthen them, which are – as he described – relations that are not affected by the change of administrations in the United States, indicating the importance of cooperation with the Libyan House of Representatives and its role in calming and restoring stability, praising the role of the House of Representatives Speaker Aqila Saleh in support of political dialogue.
Al-Aqouri emphasized the House of Representatives’ keenness to strengthen relations with the US government in all fields, explaining the importance of the US role in supporting stability in Libya.
